TaxSet is an estimator, not tax advice. It multiplies your net profit by a single rate that you choose. It models no brackets, deductions, credits, thresholds or local rules. Check anything you intend to file with a qualified adviser in your jurisdiction.
Getting in touch
The fastest route is Settings → Send feedback inside the app — it attaches your app and OS version, which usually saves a round trip. It never attaches any of your financial data.
Everything you send is read by the person who built TaxSet. Expect a reply within a few days.
Common questions
Where is my data stored?
In a database inside the app's own private storage on your device, and nowhere else. There is no account, no cloud and no sync. See the privacy policy for the full picture.
How do I move my data to a new phone?
Settings → Export writes a JSON file and hands it to the share sheet — send it to yourself however you like. On the new phone, use Import and pick that file. CSV export is also available if you would rather open it in a spreadsheet.
How is the set-aside figure worked out?
Income minus expenses for the quarter gives your net profit; that is multiplied by the tax rate you set in Settings. Nothing more clever than that is happening, deliberately — a number you can check by hand is a number you can trust.
What rate should I use?
That depends entirely on where you live and what you earn, and it is exactly the question to put to an accountant. TaxSet ships with a default and some common presets purely as starting points, not recommendations.
I paid a tip but my unlocks are gone
Open Settings → Support TaxSet and tap Restore. Tips are non-consumable purchases tied to your store account, so they survive a reinstall, a new device and deleting all your data. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account or Google account you used to tip.
Do I have to tip to use the app?
No. Every calculation, every screen, export, import and all six main themes are free forever. Tips unlock decoration only — extra themes, progress ring styles, particle effects and a badge — and nothing already unlocked is ever taken back.
How do I delete everything?
Settings → Your data → Delete all data. It is immediate and irreversible, so export first if there is any chance you will want it back. Deleting the app removes the database too.
Does TaxSet work offline?
Entirely. The only thing that needs a connection is sending feedback and leaving a tip.
